Josh Baker and Eddie Debord—two young boys who love nothing more than running the hills and riverbanks of their small hometown in West Virginia. Adventure is always on their agenda and and one day they find it in a big way! Inside an old red milk can they discover half-buried in the mud on the river bank, is a relic from the past. A document that will send them on an adventure of a lifetime! In their search, they will make new and unlikely friends as well as some who want to stop them at all cost! They will find themselves floating downriver on a homemade raft, exploring hidden hollows, and hidden secrets, all in search of a long lost jewel from the past; a stash of Confederate gold that went missing in 1903 supposedly hidden somewhere in the hills near their home. They will cross paths with an aggressive Sheriff, a watchful Mayor, an inquisitive librarian, and an intimidating mountain man while trying to connect the dots of this 100 year old mystery.
Suspicion, danger and terror are around every turn and they better be careful—It could cost them much more than just a couple weeks of their summer vacation!
