Today Lovely Books Shines The Author Spotlight On…

Alicia J. Love

Alicia J. Love is a self published author and the owner and operator of Lovely Books. She is an entrepreneur at heart, as well as a writer, and is always seeking new ways to write, inspire, and pay the bills. She has been writing since she could hold a pen, but didn’t find the motivation and discipline to complete her first novel until the beginning of 2013. Since completing her first book, Reincarnation, she has written another book in The Seven Uniters series, titled Revolution. She spends much of her time on the web, working hard to improve her books, her platform, and her websites. She is too dedicated, often finding herself finally looking away from the bright screen in the late hours of the night.

Author Interview

What made you choose your genre?

Oddly enough, I would have definitely pegged myself as pure fantasy. I have always been about witches, magic, and dragons, and almost surprised myself with my first book. It kind of appeared in my mind, all of a sudden, and just had to escape. I definitely think the genre chose me.

Which of your books is your favorite? Which character is your favorite?

Revolution is definitely my favorite of my books so far. It is a definite improvement from my first book, Reincarnation, and it delves deeper and really captures the reader in a better way. As for a character, Hailey is definitely my number one. There is so much of me in her, and I truly believe that I kind of grow with her as she becomes stronger as the story develops.

How do you go about writing a book? Do you have any schedule, tricks or tips to share?

To be honest, I just write whenever I feel like it. Both Reincarnation and Revolution took less than a month to finish, because I was inspired and nothing got in my way. My third book, though, is coming along at a snails pace. I am working on it bit by bit, but the bug hasn’t bitten me for this one yet. Once it does, though, I am sure I will write and write until it is finished!
